Thin karela slices marinated and deep fried.
Ingredients
| • | Bitter gourd (karela) | 2 medium |
| • | Salt | to taste |
| • | Turmeric powder | 1/2 teaspoon |
| • | Red chilli powder | 1 teaspoon |
| • | Tamarind paste | 1 teaspoon |
| • | Oil | to deep fry |
Method
Cut the karelas into thin slices and place in a plate. Add salt and turmeric powder and mix well. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
Wash them thoroughly and drain on absorbent paper. Transfer onto a plate. Add red chilli powder, tamarind paste and mix well.
Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep fry the karela slices till crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Transfer on a serving plate, add salt and mix well. Serve hot.
